POST THANKSGIVING - WALK OFF THE TURKEY AND SEE THE NEWPORT MANSIONS DECORATED FOR THE HOLIDAYS - GET IN THE SPIRIT!!!!
Hike the Cliff Walk, have lunch in Newport and then visit the Mansions (decorated for the holidays). The Cliff Walk has been selected as one of the "50 Places of a Lifetime to visit in America" by National Geographic Traveler magazine. The 3 ½ mile coastal path stretches from Easton's Beach to Bailey's Beach, passing behind many Newport mansions. The Atlantic ocean on one side and the architectural history of Newport - The Breakers, Rosecliff, Marble House, etc. on the other. And then another 2 miles along Bellevue Ave and the front of the Mansions to downtown Newport and our restaurant.
We will organize a carspot and transport everyone after lunch back to their cars. From that point, we will proceed to the Breakers Parking lot, free parking, where our tour will begin. You will all then have your cars nearby. We will have time to visit two mansions - it takes at least 1 hour for each.
MEETING TIME: STARTING AT 9AM PROMPTLY - MEETING TIME 8:45 AM.
DIRECTIONS:
From 128 South and 495 South:
Take 128 South to Rt24 heading towards Fall River and 195 (there are signs
for Newport) exit West on I95 for one exit and 24 South is picked up again. Follow Rt 24/Rt 138 in Middletown then a left onto Rt 214/Valley Rd. This will take you 3.3 miles to Memorial Blvd. (Rt 138A), Easton Beach (Parking no fee and parking no fee on the street) and the Entrance to the Cliff Walk. Meet in the parking lot of Easton Beach so you can stay warm.

| Requirements: | DRESS WARM. It hopefully will be sunny but you will need warm layers. Hat, scarves, warm gloves or mittens, woolen socks, walking shoes or boots, windproof, waterproof jacket. Bring a snack and water to have along the way.
